HOW TO OBTAIN A FLORIDA BARBER LICENSE BY ENDORSEMENT

If you have a barber license in another state or country, you may be eligible to obtain a Florida barber license by endorsement.

Application requirements include the following:

2-HOUR HIV/AIDS COURSE
You must have completed the 2-Hour HIV/AIDS: Initial Licensure within two years prior to submitting your application. Take your 2-Hour HIV/AIDS: Initial Licensure Course Now!

AGE
Applicants for licensure by endorsement must be at least 16 years of age.

EDUCATION
All applicants must have completed at least 1,200 educational hours, comparable or more stringent than those required in Florida, and must have passed a written examination.

NACES EVALUATION
Out-of-country barber endorsement applicants must obtain an education evaluation from a credential evaluation service which is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). The evaluation must be submitted with the application. For more information, please refer to the NACES website.

FEE
You must pay the required fee as provided in the application. However, military veterans, their spouses, and Florida National Guard members may be eligible for a fee waiver, fee reimbursement, and/or fee discount.
